Welcome from the Dean

The current academic year has seen an increased number of students in our undergraduate and graduate programs along with increased opportunities for students to become engaged in a variety of learning experiences both in and outside the formal classroom. This is especially relevant with the adoption of a new mission statement for the college: Empowering individuals to lead and serve our dynamic world. As illustrations of our mission, we have more students and faculty seeking international learning experiences; an increasing diversity of online courses and programs; new programs to develop WKU students’ skills for succeeding in college coursework; and a renewed commitment to nurture students and faculty research efforts. These and many other initiatives are led by a dedicated faculty and staff in collaboration with numerous individuals throughout the larger university community. We are making a difference in the lives of those we serve, and your support is greatly appreciated.

Sam Evans
Dean
