Master
of Arts In Education and Planned Sixth Year Program |
PROGRAM COURSE OF STUDY
The IECE
program is sequenced over 3 years for the majority of students
who are part-time. Full-time students can complete the program
sequence in consecutive summer, fall, spring, and summer semesters
(see advisor for sequence). Coursework is offered during the
evenings or week-ends in fall and spring semesters and in
two summer terms to accommodate students who work full-time.
Once accepted to the program, students must meet with an advisor
to plan a degree program and sequence of coursework. Students
matriculate through the program as cohorts of approximately
15.
Because the program leads to initial certification in IECE,
Field experiences are required in some courses. These are
individualized based on students’ backgrounds and professional
growth needs.
The 3-year program sequence for the MAE is as follows. The
Planned Sixth Year Program sequence is the same with the exception
that EDU 500 is not required in that program.
